About Kuguno
「りんごのまち」「ひだ桃源郷」と呼ばれる久々野町（くぐの）は、飛騨高山の南に広がる自然豊かな農村エリアです。澄んだ空気と清らかな水、昼夜の寒暖差が育む果物や野菜は、この地域の誇り。春の桃の花や夏のひまわり、秋の実り、冬の雪景色など、四季折々の風景が楽しめます。訪れる人を迎えるのは、のどかな田園風景と地域のあたたかさです。
Nicknamed “The Apple Town” and “The Peach Blossom Paradise,” Kuguno is a peaceful rural area in southern Hida-Takayama, known for its clear mountain air, pure water, and dramatic temperature shifts that nurture flavorful fruits and vegetables. Each season paints a different picture—peach blossoms in spring, golden sunflowers in summer, rich harvests in autumn, and quiet snowy fields in winter. Visitors are welcomed not only by the scenery but also by the warmth of the local community.
Nature & Scenic Spots
自然に囲まれた久々野町では、四季折々の風景が楽しめます。春には桃やりんごの花が咲き、夏には舟山の麓に広がる「アルコピアひまわり園」で20万本のひまわりが一面を彩ります。秋は実りの季節、冬には雪に包まれた静かな田園風景が広がり、一年を通して豊かな自然が訪れる人を迎えます。
上下二段に流れ落ちる「女男滝（めおとだき）」は岐阜県名水50選にも選ばれ、春の新緑や秋の紅葉、冬の氷結と、季節ごとに違う表情を見せます。また、位山舟山県立自然公園内にある「あららぎ湖」では、木立に囲まれた湖畔を散策したり、釣りを楽しんだりと、日常を離れて静かな時間を過ごせます。
Surrounded by nature, Kuguno offers scenery that changes beautifully with the seasons. In spring, the hillsides bloom with peach and apple blossoms, and in summer, over 200,000 sunflowers turn the fields of the Arkopia Sunflower Garden into a sea of gold. Autumn brings the colors of harvest, and in winter, the snow-covered countryside becomes a peaceful retreat.
Meoto Waterfall, selected as one of Gifu Prefecture’s 50 Famous Waters, cascades in two tiers with breathtaking power—green in spring, crimson in autumn, and frozen into crystal layers in winter. At Araragi Lake, tucked within Funayama Prefectural Nature Park, visitors can stroll shaded paths, fish, or simply enjoy the quiet beauty of Hida’s forests.

久々野では、自然の中でさまざまな体験が楽しめます。春から夏にかけては、清流・益田川の上流でアマゴ釣りや鮎釣りが人気。秋には果樹園でりんご狩りを体験でき、自分で採ったりんごをその場で味わえます。周囲の山々や湖では、ウォーキングやサイクリング、SUPなど、自然と触れ合うアクティビティも豊富です。
In Kuguno, visitors can enjoy a wide range of experiences surrounded by nature. From spring through summer, the clear upper reaches of the Masuda River attract anglers for amago and ayu fishing. In autumn, local orchards open for apple picking, where you can taste the crisp sweetness of freshly harvested fruit right from the tree. Around the mountains and Araragi Lake, there are plenty of ways to explore the outdoors—walking trails, cycling routes, or paddleboarding on calm waters.

昼夜の寒暖差と清らかな水に恵まれた久々野では、りんごや桃、梨などの果物が豊かに実ります。中でも秋から冬にかけて収穫される「飛騨りんご」は、この地域を代表する味覚です。
Blessed with clear mountain water and large temperature shifts between day and night, Kuguno produces exceptional fruit—apples, peaches, pears, and more. Among them, the Hida Apple harvested in autumn and early winter is a local treasure, known for its crisp texture and delicate sweetness.
その久々野産のりんごを丸ごと4個以上使った冬季限定スイーツ「久々野アップルパイ」は、地元の果樹農家の女性たちによって一つひとつ手作りされています。発売の時期を楽しみに待つファンも多く、いまでは久々野を代表する名物として知られています。
The beloved Kuguno Apple Pie, made with over four whole locally grown apples in each pie, is a handmade winter specialty created by local women farmers. Its limited seasonal release draws loyal fans year after year, making it one of Kuguno’s most iconic sweets.
道の駅「飛騨街道なぎさ」では、このアップルパイをはじめ、地元の果物を使った100％ジュースやジェラート、焼き立てパンなど、久々野の旬を味わえる商品が揃っています。おみやげ選びやドライブの休憩にもおすすめです。
At Roadside Station Hida Kaidō Nagisa, visitors can enjoy not only apple pie but also fresh bread, 100% fruit juice, and gelato made from local produce—perfect for a quick rest stop or a place to pick up seasonal souvenirs from Kuguno.
Events & Festivals
久々野では、季節ごとに地域の人々が集い、自然とともに楽しむイベントが開催されています。中でも夏の「ひだ桃源郷くぐの納涼夏まつり」は町を代表するお祭りで、キッチンカーや屋台、ダンスやライブなどで賑わいます。夜空を彩る「くぐの大花火」では、山々に響き渡る迫力ある花火が夏の夜を華やかに演出します。
Throughout the year, the people of Kuguno come together to celebrate the seasons with lively local events. The Hida Tōgenkyō Kuguno Summer Festival is the town’s biggest celebration, featuring food stalls, stage performances, and live music. As night falls, the spectacular Kuguno Fireworks light up the sky, echoing across the surrounding mountains.
春には、飛騨川にかかる久須母橋の上空を約100本の鯉のぼりが泳ぐ「久須母橋こいのぼり」が行われ、地域の風物詩となっています。5月には「ひだ桃源郷くぐのアマゴ釣り大会」が開催され、子どもから大人まで多くの人で賑わいます。
In spring, nearly a hundred colorful koinobori carp streamers dance in the wind above the Hida River during the Kusumo Bridge Koinobori display. In May, the Hida Tōgenkyō Kuguno Amago Fishing Contest draws anglers young and old to the clear rivers that flow through the town.

About our organization
ひだ桃源郷くぐの観光協会について
The Kuguno Tourism Association is a small, community-based non-profit dedicated to sharing the unique charm of Kuguno—a hidden gem nestled in the southern part of Takayama.
Our mission is to connect more people to this special corner of the Hida region by highlighting local traditions, natural beauty, seasonal flavors, and warm hospitality. We work closely with local residents, businesses, and the city of Takayama to organize events, promote tourism, and create new opportunities for visitors to discover all that Kuguno has to offer.
ひだ桃源郷くぐの観光協会は、高山市南部に位置する「久々野（くぐの）」の魅力を発信するために活動する、小さな地域密着型の非営利団体です。
