アルコピアひまわり園、本日開園！

本日8月2日、久々野町のアルコピアひまわり園が一般公開となります！

昨日は地元の久々野保育園の園児たちや関係者を迎えて、開園セレモニーが行われました。年長さんたちがテープカットをしたあと、風船を空に飛ばして開園をお祝いし、会場には笑顔があふれていました。

このひまわり園は、オフシーズンのスキー場の約1ヘクタールを活用し、毎年お盆の時期に合わせて開園されています。今年で19年目を迎え、地域の夏の風物詩として親しまれています。

We’re excited to share that the Arkopia Sunflower Garden in Kuguno officially opened to the public today, August 2nd!

Yesterday, we held a warm and cheerful opening ceremony to kick things off. Local kindergarteners from Kuguno Nursery School joined in the celebration with a ribbon-cutting and balloon release—bringing smiles all around. This annual tradition brings the community together to mark the start of sunflower season on the ski slope.

Now in its 19th year, the garden transforms a 1-hectare section of the off-season ski resort into a brilliant field of sunflowers just in time for Obon. Around 200,000 yellow blooms are expected to cover the slope in the coming days, with the peak bloom anticipated around August 8th.
